Q:  I have registered for an account, but I can not login.  Can you help me?

A:  Your username and password are case sensitive.  Make sure that upper and lower case characters match exactly.

Case Sensitive -  1: Distinguishing between upper- and lower-case letters.  2: Knowing the difference between capital letters and lower case letters.  For example: A case-sensitive search for "CASE" would not find "case".

Also, the registration for the message board is separate from that for the member photo area.  You must register twice (Sorry).

Q. I have registered for the message board and when I attempt to login, I get this message "You have specified an incorrect or inactive username, or an invalid password."  What do I do?

A: When you register, an email will be sent containing a link which activates your message board account.  Your account will be inactive until you visit the link by clicking or by copying the link to your browser.  Please do not forget your password as it has been encrypted in our database and we cannot retrieve it for you. However, should you forget your password you can request a new one which will be activated in the same way as this account.

Q: I have heard the Hippie Hollow is not a family oriented park, is this true?  Or am I able to bring children under the age of 18?

A: Travis County barred those under 18.  Officials said the state's only government-maintained nude park is a potential breeding ground for sexual predators and no place for kids, indicating  the issue is not the violation of parental rights, but the protection of children.

It does appear that county officials are unfairly associating nudism with sexual wrongdoing because they don't understand naturism, which promotes ``healthy, wholesome attitudes about nudity and the human body.''

Q: I posted a message to the bulletin board and now it is gone.  I also uploaded some pictures to the member picture gallery that never showed up on the website.  Is there something wrong?

A: There are a few guidelines used for determining appropriate material for this website.  The guidelines are listed with the Access Information in the Message Board, and are intended to make everyone's visit to the website a pleasant experience.

Q: I realize that the photo gallery is probably over a year old, but I am using firefox and am not able to open any of the pictures. I am connecting thru RR and am using the Road Runner Computer associates suite along with webroot spysweeper and CA antivirus. Any help?

A: I think that you just answered your own question.  Hundreds of thousands of people access this site and get to the message board and the pictures in the gallery.  If you are having problems, more than likely it is something incompatible with the combination of firewall and spy applications.  We are not able to provide support for each persons personal war against the internet.

Q: Does anyone has any idea why I can't view the images? Do I have to switch my browser settings or something?

A: The thing that most likely happening is that your browser is not providing the Browser User-Agent String or the HTTP Referer string to our  server to verify what browser you use, and/or where you are coming from. Without this information, our server cannot verify whether you came from our own domain or outside (or if you are a good bot or a bad bot).  This is essential.  It allows us to prevent leeching of bandwidth by hotlinking from a location outside of our domains, and in a way, it also protects our privacy.

Please note that you will need to enable "referrer logging" in your browser in order to be able to view the images properly (I could be wrong but IE users should not have this issue).

Also, It could be caused by your firewall, such as ZoneAlarm.  To fix it in ZoneAlarm, find the entry for hippiehollow.com in the Privacy Settings, right click and choose options, uncheck remove private header.

Wars are inevitable... as long as we believe
that wars are inevitable.

The moment we don't believe it anymore
it is not inevitable.
